The plane tickets were on sale - SG$4 each. In total, my papa and mama paid $309 for their seats (inclusive of taxes, 2x 20kg luggage, convenience fee and seat choosing fee).
But actually, they could have just gotten 1x 20kg luggage instead of 2 as their luggage weigh less than 20kg in total (frankly speaking, how much stuff can you bring on a 5 day trip?) and there is a high likelihood that you will get adjacent seats if you arrive at the airport early enough, so there is no need to spend $ choosing seats.
There were various departure timing from Singapore, but they chose the morning flight so we could better utilize the time there.
Departure Flight
Departure: 0800 at Changi Budget Terminal
Arrival: 0855 at Phuket International Airport (Phuket is 1 hour behind Singapore)
Return Flight
Departure: 2000 at Phuket International Airport
Arrival: 2245 at Changi Budget Terminal
For budget flights, the check in desk usually opens 2 hours before the departure time and closes 45 minutes before the departure time. But my papa n mama always check in 2 hours before departure time so they can bring me for some sightseeing in the transit area.

Tiger plane. This journey is surprisingly pretty packed! Mama actually met some of her course mates on grad trip to Phuket! As this is the budget terminal, there are no link bridges or other fanciful stuff :)
After a 2 hour trip, we are finally in Phuket! They provided the link bridge which is great for lazy bums like my papa and mama.
